MAKE UP TRENDS TO TRY THIS SEASON

“WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MUST HAVE MAKEUP TRENDS FOR WINTER 2022?”

As we transition into winter, it’s a good time to go through your makeup collection and replace or restock your makeup essentials. It’s also a good time to re-examine the current makeup trends for the season. We share the latest beauty trends for the season.

MAKEUP LOOKS

Makeup looks seen on the runway for this winter are bold and glamorous.

Skin remains soft and matte. To achieve the look opt for a dewy foundation and soften by applying a small amount of powder to your T-zone area.

We are seeing strong accents and bursts of colour and metallics on the eyes paired with a classic red to deep wine bold lip.

EYES
Ever classic, the Smokey eye returns with a modern twist. The current take involves extra colour, extra shimmer and an extra sprinkle of crystals.

REVERSE CAT EYE… Another look to create this season has a heavy focus on your under eye. Place your graphic liner heavily to your under eye as if you were doing a cat eye, changing the focus to the bottom lash line. Add in a light colour to the lash lid and heavy layers of mascara.

THICK EYELINER ALL OVER… One of my favourite eye makeup looks is thick eyeliner applied around the eyes to the top lash line, lid and the lower lash line. Blend for a really easy way to achieve a Smokey eye. Use your graphic eyeliner and then for extra drama add layers of mascara to complete the look.

METALILIC SMOKEY… Create another bold Smokey eye look with metallic ‘80s style blue eyeshadow. Create dimension with extra sparkle adding coloured glitter to the eye shadow. To complete the disco look add crystals around the eye to create some drama.

LIPS

As the weather gets cooler our lip shades get deeper. We can’t get enough of a deep plum lip this season. You may choose to opt for high gloss or matte. To get this season's look, pair your plum lip with a bold eye look.
