FASHION TRENDS FOR SPRING SUMMER 2023
“WHAT ARE SOME OF THE MUST HAVE FASHION TRENDS FOR SPRING SUMMER 2023?'“
As we head into September and transition into Spring/Summer, the 2023 fashion trends have started making their way into stores. We share the wearable trends straight from the runway to start wearing now.
HEAD-TO-TOE-BLACK
The runways have been flooded with chic black head-to-toe outfits for summer. Yes, that’s right black for summer.
At STYLED BY JADE HQ we couldn’t be more ecstatic. We love the understated elegance and wearability of an all black outfit.
BERMUDA SHORTS
Bermuda longline shorts are going to be everywhere this summer. Think knee length, baggy wide leg shorts.
There are so many ways to style Bermuda shorts casually, to the office and for night out.
For a contemporary alternative to traditional suiting, pair your Bermuda shorts with a delicate blouse, or a matching vest and layer with a blazer for an elegant sophisticated office look.
For a more casual look, pair your shorts with a tee or tank for a cool, effortless look. Complete the look with trainers or your favourite summer sandals.
LIQUID SILVER
Prepare to shine this summer with metallic silver elements. You may choose to wear silver from head-to-toe or keep it simple by adding a touch of silver to your outfit, such as silver trousers, a skirt, belt, handbag or shoes.
One of our favourite trends is the liquid silver pant. It’s an easy way to get on board with the trend and they are extremely versatile. Pair your silver pants with a blazer, shirt or tank.
PURPLE
Pops of lilac, lavender, plum, magenta and other shades of purple have flooded the runways for the summer.
To make a fashion statement, refresh your wardrobe by adding a garment in either a vibrant purple, or a softer pastel to get the look.
COBALT BLUE
Cobalt blue made a bold entrance in winter but there is no sign of this shade of deep blue disappearing anytime soon.
Try varying shades of cobalt blue worn head-to-toe or pair with Pantone colour of the year Viva Magenta to get the look.
ASYMMETRICAL TREND
It's all about the drama of Asymmetry this summer. Styles range from thigh-high skirt splits to more simple one-shoulder tops and dresses.
Asymmetric clothing is flattering on all body types. Asymmetrical hems on skirts and dresses will automatically lengthen your legs.
LACE
Lace underwear inspired garments worn as outerwear is a trend we will incorporate into our everyday wardrobe.
Soft silks, delicate lace trims, romantic ruffles and cut out fabrics will be seen in stores in slip dresses, blouses, camisoles, pants and skirts. For a more modest look choose pieces with lace panels that give off the same vibe without being overtly sexy.
TEXTURES
Feathers, sequins, netting and fringing all heavily featured on the runway.
You may choose subtle or elaborate embellishments depending on how much of a statement you want to create.
THE UTILITY TREND
The utility trend this season is sophisticated and elegant. It has been modernised with pockets that add visual interest, without adding bulk.
We are seeing it in stores in cargo pants, jackets, skirts, dresses, shirts and jackets.
This trend combines comfort, functionality and fashion.
Combine your military pieces with your soft delicate lace garments for an effortless blended on trend outfit.
